Another attraction for tourists for Aurangabad

It will showcase Maharashtra?s culture at the ?Aurangabad Kalagram? an art and craft village modeled after New Delhi?s Dilli Haat.

Aurangabad will soon have another attraction for tourists. The city famous for the Ajanta Ellora caves will now showcase Maharashtra’s culture at the ‘Aurangabad Kalagram’ an art and craft village modeled after New Delhi’s Dilli Haat.

A joint project by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, Aurangabad Kalagram will be spread over 6.73 acres of land located at the Garware Stadium Campus in CIDCO, Aurangabad. The project which mainly targets international tourists will include tourist craft and food stalls and an ampitheatre for performances by local artistes.

The project has received a grant of Rs two crore from the Maharashtra government and Rs 4.42 crore from the Centre.
