With the number of students who scored above 95% in CBSE Class 12 exams going up by 100 this year, the cut-offs will most likely increase by around 5% in top colleges, according to experts. Most of the questions put to the varsity helpline as well as on the DU Facebook page are centred around marks and cut-offs.

A large number of websites that mushroom during the application season to guide applicants through the procedure are also offering tools such as cut-off analysers and cut-off forecasters. Both tools give students an idea about the cut offs in the last few years and where they may stand this year. Collegedoor.in, one such website, started this year and has been getting around 100 hits per day.

Other websites, such as admissionhelp.com and delhi-university.in, are similarly offering help and answering question from applicants.
