Arms and ammunition recovered in Poonch

Rashtriya Rifles troops during a search operation recovered some arms and ammunition in hilly area of Shindra top in the border district on Friday evening, they said.

Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said in Jammu on Saturday.

The recoveries included one AK-56 rifle, one magazine and 25 rounds, they said, adding these had been abandoned by fleeing militants.

Search operations are continuing in the area to nab the militants, they added.
