Admitting that the three battalions of the force lack proper training due to shortage of senior officers, Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu said that they might be replaced with CRPF personnel.

A Congress Legislature party meeting has been convened today to take a decision in this regard, the chief minister said adding that he would also call an all-party meeting soon.

To help IRBn personnel in acquiring proper training for tackling crimes, Khandu said they are planning to send them out of the state.

"We are planning to send to Naxal-hit areas to cope up with varied situations if all the elected representatives agree to it," Khandu told reporters here.

When asked about recent incidents of alleged atrocities by IRBn personnel on civilians across the state, Khandu, while admitting it, said it is due to "improper training".

"The government will never tolerate such attitude of law enforcing agencies and we have accordingly terminated several IRBn personnel recently," he said adding the state cabinet would soon take a decision for recruitment of senior officers in IRBn.
