Coincidentally and exactly after four years, Utsav Sharma, who says is reportedly mentally ill, led a similar attack on Dr Rajesh Talwar at the same Ghaziabad court complex, and was booked for attempt to murder and provision of 7 Criminal Law Amendment Act. Police officials now say that they were trying to make a strong case against Sharma.

On the attack on Koli and Pandher, six persons were named and 250-300 others were booked under similar and more stringent charges. But the UP police investigations at Ghaziabad did not move any further after the FIR was lodged.

The attackers on Koli and Pandher were booked under stringent sections 147, 148, 149, 307 and 353 of IPC, section ¾ of Damage to Public Property Act and also under 7 Criminal Law Amendment Act.

While the police were actively making efforts to nail Utsav Sharma under the hammer of law, they have failed to act against the attackers on Koli and Pandher which took place inside the same Ghaziabad court complex. This is despite the fact that more than 10 policemen were also injured during the attack while trying to protect them from mob fury.
