At least 299 detainees released in Iraq

About 14,000 detainees continue to languish in US-Iraqi-run prisons.

The US military on Monday said that 299 male detainees had been released from US-Iraqi-run prisons in Iraq.

It said the detainees were released on Sunday. About 14,000 detainees continue to be in US-Iraqi-run prisons.
