Student leader Ripusudan said the delegation demanded that candidates eligible for the 2004 and the 2005 Upper Subordinate Examination be given a chance to appear in the 2006 examinations.

The examination controller assured the students that their demands would be discussed at a meeting of the commission. Ripusudan urged the students to assemble at gate number 3 of the PSC on March 10.
The delegation included Brijesh, Bansi Lal, Prem Singh and Chandrajeet Singh, among others.
Women’s Day: Allahabad University (AU) students will celebrate the ‘International Women’s Day’ at the Sarojini Naidu Women’s Hostel on March 8.
Allahabad University Students’ Union publication secretary Kalpana said a women’s cell would be inaugurated on the occasion.Kalpana said the International Women’s Day symbolised the struggle of women in the society.
The programme would include street plays, songs and a conference. The women’s cell is being set up to provide security to women university students.
Dr Ranjana Kakkar will be the chief speaker on the occasion.
English Department: Head of the English Department Prof KG Srivastava said a meeting of teachers of the department would be held in room no. 5 of the department at noon on Tuesday. Problems being faced by teachers will be discussed at the meeting.
Application forms: Examination controller Prof HS Upadhyay said application forms of ex-students of graduation (all sections) would be accepted between 11 am and 2 pm on March 7 and 8.The students should submit the forms, along with a late fee of Rs 200, to the units concerned.
