Third-seeded Amelie Mauresmo of France advanced to the Australian Open semifinals with a 6-3, 6-0 win on Wednesday over Patty Schnyder of Switzerland.
Mauresmo will play the winner of the later women's quarterfinal between Martina Hingis and second-seeded Kim Clijsters.
