Australia wary of Indian backlash

Wiser after their Kolkata experience of 2001, the Australians would guard against complacency and walk onto the ground on Friday determined to execute their plans to perfection, skipper Adam Gilchrist said on Thursday.

The Australians were clearly on top after day two of the first cricket Test in Bangalore against India, but the flamboyant wicketkeeper batsman said his team would only concentrate on not letting go the initiative this time.
"We are wiser after the experience of three years ago. We are not getting ahead of ourselves. We are enjoying this moment, we are enjoying the individual feats but tomorrow morning we will be back on track with our plan and we will try and execute it as well as we can," he told reporters after the day's play that saw the visitors reduce India to 150 for 6.
"Personal stuff is fantastic but the real excitement is what we have done with the bat and then with the ball so far," Gilchrist said referring to his team's massive first innings total of 474 and the effort of the bowlers.
