SOON THERE will be Automatic Vending Machines (AVMs) at the Allahabad Junction Railway Station. With this move, the passengers will be able to get clean drinking water, coffee, biscuits and chocolates from the vending machines.
Under the plan, the railway passengers will be able to get the commodity of their requirement by inserting coin in the machine.
The machines will be set up on all the platforms of the Junction station besides the waiting hall and near reservation counters on Civil Lines and City Side of the station.
Though the machine is automatic, manpower will also be deployed for the safety of the machine, said a senior officer.
When contacted, Public Relation Officer, NCR RK Srivastava said, "It will take sometime for setting up the machines and make it operational."
