Avocent looking to expand business in India

The Chief Executive Officer of the Avocent, John Cooper and Senior Executive Vice President Dave Perry are currently on India visit to explore the Indian IT market.

The global leader in local and remote management of IT infrastructure, Avocent is a US based-company headquartered at Huntsville, Albama. Avocent was established in 2000 from the merger of the world's two largest KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) switch manufacturers: Apex and Cybex Computer Product Corporation.

Avocent there after made several acquisitions, turning out to be a company of 10 employees to about 1800, selling its products and services to about 50 countries in the world.

Explaining his mission in India, Cooper says that he has come here to meet its people and expand business considering the huge growth potential of the country. Avocent, which has some big IT and banking client base in India like TCS, Wipro, ICICI, HDFC, Yahoo and exchanges like NCDEX and MCX, wants to expand its network in India to host of other customers from the financial sector.
