Not true. In fact India's present progress has been without Punjab's growth. India progressed when Punjab was looking itself through communal glasses. Look at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurgaon and empteen other growth places, which grew when Punjab was going down because of its embrace of terrorism. Name any growth industry; it's outside this state.
Honest statement will be "India can achieve full growth if UP, Bihar and such backward states are included in union government's special treatment and stop terrorising its own people by making statements to the effect that terrorism can again come to Punjab. How can it come if the union government deals pre-emptly?
Instead of making such statements PM should take action to stop terrorism wherever it prevails today. Look who is talking about communal things like Muslims, classes and casts etc? It’s the PM. In fact PM is supposed to lead all Indians irrespective of Hindus, Muslims, Jains, Sikhs, Buddhists or a person belonging to any other religion.
