B'wood finally: Shilpa walks for Tarun
Shilpa Shetty sashays down the ramp in an orange saree for Tarun Tahiliani.
Starved for Bollywood glamour, India Fashion Week found a reason to cheer, as actor Shilpa Shetty walked for designer Tarun Tahiliani on Friday.

Part of the grand finale and the last to make an entry at the show, Shilpa left a stunning impact. Clad in a burnt-orange stone-studded saree, Shilpa walked in style much to the delight of the audience.
Her blouse was a bustier embellished with jewels. Her ensemble was dripping in jewels, complete with a bajubandh and golden ropes.
However, Tarun seemed a little shy of the blocks, as he tried to take a quick bow from the back-aisle. But the designer soon returned to walk the entire ramp with the actor.
"Shilpa's a friend of mine, and she was in town. So I asked her to walk for me. And she looked like an apsara," exclaimed the designer.
He, however, turned defensive on the Bollywood connection. "I don't think I need Bollywood stars for my collection to attract attention. They will sell on their own merit."
Shilpa had made a breezy entry at the venue, the Grand Hotel, earlier in the day. The actor seemd to have lost a lot of weight, and she looked gorgeous in blue jeans, teamed with a chocolate-brown razor T-shirt.
India Fashion Week has been bereft of too many celebrities. And in comparison to Mumbai, the Bollywood factor has been largely absent.
