Badal to invite PM, others for Guru Arjan's anniv

SAD president Prakash Singh Badal left for New Delhi on Sunday to invite Singh and others to the events.

SAD will organise an event to mark the 400th martyrdom of fifth Sikh Guru Arjan in Taran Taran in Amritsar on June 16 along with SGPC, for which it plans to invite PM Manmohan Singh, AB Vajpayee, I K Gujral, Chandrasekhar, VP Singh and others.

SAD president Prakash Singh Badal left for New Delhi on Sunday to invite Singh and others to the events, party spokesman Daljit Cheema told reporters in Moga on Sunday.

Meanwhile, highly placed SAD sources said that Badal was likely to visit USA after May 18 for a medical check up and treatment.
