“There was a dispute between Samiullah Choudhary, 32, also a Congress worker, and Salim Qureshi, a resident of Yadavnagar, over a piece of land between the rear portion of Choudhary’s bakery and Qureshi’s chawl house,” said senior police inspector Anil Deshmukh from the Mumbra police station.

“On Thursday, they had a fight and Choudhary killed Qureshi. The deceased had 43 injuries on his body, including 11 on his head,” Deshmukh added.

Qureshi’s body was sent for a post-mortem. Choudhary has been arrested and will be produced in court on Friday.
