Bal Bhavans planned at division HQs

WOMAN AND Child Welfare Minister Kusum Singh Mehdele has announced establishing of Bal Bhavans at five divisional headquarters on the pattern of Jawahar Bal Bhavan of Bhopal. Speaking during the Children?s Day function at the Jawahar Bal Bhavan on Tuesday, Mehdele said the second Bal Bhavan will be constructed in Jabalpur followed by Sagar, Rewa, Ujjain and Indore.

Speaking during the Children’s Day function at the Jawahar Bal Bhavan on Tuesday, Mehdele said the second Bal Bhavan will be constructed in Jabalpur followed by Sagar, Rewa, Ujjain and Indore.

She further added that rest-houses would also be constructed in the proposed Bal Bhavans to accommodate guests. She advised officials to organise training programmes like judo, karate and boxing in Bal Bhavan.

Mehdele lauded the cultural programme presented by children on the occasion and contributed a sum of Rs 20,000 from her discretionary fund towards purchase of sweets. She also distributed prizes for excellent performance in the cultural programme presented by the children.

Woman and Child Welfare Minister of State Meena Singh praised the cultural programme and said children would make progress on the basis of their talent after completion of the training.

Women’s Finance and Development Corporation chairperson Anju Singh Baghel said the Children’s Day inspired people to inculcate good values in children and dedicate themselves to safeguard the interest of children.
