Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Friday called up chief minister Omar Abdullah to take stock of situation arising out of clashes between two groups at Baltal base camp leading to the Amarnath cave shrine.

Sources said Abdullah appraised Singh about the situation and informed that the state government has sent officials to the spot for necessary action.
Singh asked the state government to take all necessary steps to control the situation in the area.
