A wicketkeeper-batsman who is a household name in Bangladesh. Sound behind the stumps and a useful middle-order batsman. Helped win the ICC Trophy in 1997. Was also an important member of the team during the last World Cup.

Born: August 17, 1972 in Kushtia

ODI debut: v Sri Lanka at Sharjah, 1994-95

Batting: Right Hand Bat

Bowling: Right Arm Off Break

A good batsman who plays both pace and spin with ease. Has been a consistent performer but needs to come up with some big innings to justify his talent. Also bowls off-spin.
