Chasing a victory target of 302 Kenya was bundled out for 170 in 48.1 overs as pace bowler Syed Rasel claimed 3-31 at Bogra's Shaheed Chandu Stadium. Spinners Mohammad Rafique and Mohammad Ashraful shared two wickets apiece.

The victory gave Bangladesh 1-0 lead in the four-match series. Nafees struck 11 boundaries in his 111-run knock before being run out.

Top-order batsman Aftab Ahmed contributed 67 runs off 70 balls, including five boundaries and two sixes.

Lower-order batsman Mashrafee bin Mortaza played a cameo, hitting 44 off 16 balls. He smashed five boundaries and three sixes as Bangladesh crossed 300 mark for the first time in a one-day international match.

Tanmay Mishra scored 43 runs becoming the only Kenya batsman to offer some resistance as top-order batsmen fell cheaply.

This was Bangladesh's second victory in the eight one-day matches the two countries have so far played between them. The second match of the four-match series will be played on March 20 in southwestern Khulna city.
