A run feast is in the offing in the fourth and final cricket one-dayer between India and West Indies in Vadodara on Wednesday with the wicket at the IPCL ground tailor made for strokemaking.

Curator Vasudev Patel is working overtime to give final touches to the ground and using the roller extensively to provide a pitch which batsmen would relish.

"There is still considerable time for the wicket to get the final look and it will stay firm," Patel said.

He said the spinners would not get as much help as they did in Cuttack as the ball would not turn much here.

In a Ranji Trophy match this season between the hosts and Uttar Pradesh, the visitors had crossed the 250 mark in a day.

And, the curator said, come Wednesday, the teams should not find it difficult to post around 275 runs on the board.

The ground, with a seating capacity of 19,700, has happy memories for the Indians who had defeated Sri Lanka in their last outing here in November, 2005.
