SUPERSTAR AMITABH Bachchan on Friday once again lend a helping hand to a Samajwadi Party show, leading from the front in distributing cheques to unemployed youths in a grand programme organised here on the DDU Gorakhpur University premises.

Speaking on the occasion, Bachchan said the cheques were a token of encouragement for the youths struggling hard to get a job. He recalled his days when he was struggling for a job and said there was not one to encourage him.

“But the youths present here are lucky that there was somebody by their side,” he said while hailing Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Bachchan recited a poem of Harvansh Rai Bachchan Agnipath and appealed to the youth to continue their struggle without deviating from their objective.

Terming the unemployment allowance and Kanya Vidya Dhan scheme the brainchild of the chief minister, he said now it was the duty of the youths to pickup the pace and work for a job.

Bachchan said without proper participation of women in every field, transformation of Uttar Pradesh into Uttam Pradesh would be difficult. He applauded the chief minister for fulfilling promises made to the people in the election manifesto.
