The Ashes hero, one of the most popular sportspersons in England, also has a fan in cricket-lover Sir John.

"Andrew puts bums on seats, makes the game as exciting as it can be. And he plays the game in a sporting manner, the manner in which all sports should be played," Elton John was quoted as syaing by a website.

Meanwhile, Freddie said he was excited as well as nervous by the prospect of performing alonside the rocket man.

"Appearing with the great man, at the moment, seems far more daunting than bowling to Ponting or facing McGrath and Warne. I am really looking forward to performing alongside the Rocket Man,"

The song they will sing at the event is yet to be decided but it aims at raising more than a million-pound in charity.
