Even since John has replaced Hurman Baweja in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film to be directed by Vibhu Puri, John’s girlfriend Bipasha Basu is insecure.

Her fears are not ill-founded as the two actors not only shared a good on-screen chemistry during Salam-E-Ishq, but there were also reports suggesting their excellent off-screen chemistry. John was also apparently seen Vidya giving a bike ride at Bandstand during the shooting of the film.

Chenab Gandhi is a period film that is based on life of famous freedom fighter from the North West Frontier province, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan who was also known as Chenab Gandhi. Amitabh Bachchan is playing the title role.
