The rise in temperature in past few days was caused by humid sea wind from Eastern India. But, a low-pressure area created in the north over the past couple of days has led to steep fall in temperatures in the region. There have also been rains in places like Delhi and snowfall in the hilly areas of north.

Following change of climatic conditions, the wind has started blowing from north-eastern India to Madhya Pradesh, bringing the temperature down a little bit. Temperatures will fall further as the wind from the north makes headway towards the State, said weather officials.
