BJP MP Dharmendra Pradhan and BJD General Secretary Jangeswar Babu at a joint press conference, said the demonstrations would be held before the district collectorate offices in all 30 districts.

This apart, the two coalition partners also decided to organise protest demonstrations at 39 cities in the state for two hours.

Mr Pradhan and Babu said they would apprise the people of the state through a token demonstration of the anti-people policy adopted by the UPA Government.

They alleged that the Centre instead of reducing the excise duty on petroleum products, had been forcing the state to slash the sales tax on petrol and diesel and described the decision of the Congress ruled states to reduces sales tax on petrol and diesel as a 'political gimmick'.
