BJP accuses Rajasthan governor of being against welfare of SC, ST
The BJP on Tuesday accused Rajasthan Governor S K Singh of being against the welfare of SC, ST and OBC communities and said he has no right to be on the post.
Referring to media reports about the governor’s statements on Monday at a function in Udaipur, BJP leader and former state minister Nand Lal Meena said that Singh hurt the feelings of people of SC, ST and OBC communities by saying students of these castes take admission easily in BEd colleges due to reservation and demand for government jobs soon after completing the course.
“Reservation is a system incorporated in the Constitution so the governor should not make such statements, it only shows his narrow-minded thinking,” Meena told reporters in Jaipur.
“He has no right to be the governor as he is speaking against the Constitution holding a constitutional position,” he said, adding, his statements were politically motivated.
