Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday hit out at the BJP claiming that the party is ahead of the Congress in corruption whose example could be seen in the states where it was in power, like Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

“They (BJP) are ahead and we accept our defeat (in corruption). But when it comes to electricity and roads we are ahead,” Rahul said at a rally in Banswara district.

Urging youngsters to join politics, he said, “The youth need employment but they are also required in politics. I want that in the coming time MLAs, MPs, chief ministers and the Prime Minister is from the tribal community, as you have knowledge and power.”

“Our politics is about Dalits, tribals and the poor. We will extend all possible help to common man... We want to see a day when big colleges and industries are run by the children of tribals,” said Rahul.
