Announcing the new office-bearers of his unit, Madhya Pradesh BJP President Narendra Tomar on Tuesday replaced Kaptan Singh Solanki with another RSS cadre leader Makhan Singh as state organisational general secretary.
The new executive committee was formed with an aim to give representation to every region, Tomar said in Bhopal.
"Almost all the state ministers finding a place in the committee, ministers were also party workers and given befitting responsibilities", state party chief said.
To a query he said, the committee is expected to meet only by next month, as party leaders might have to campaign during coming assembly elections in different states.
Tomar declared Maya Singh, Anil Dave, Gaurishankar Bisen, Chandramani Tripathi, Vijendra Singh and Ramkrishna Kusamaria as the vice-presidents and Umashankar Gupta and Archana Chitnis as spokespersons.
Makhan Singh, the former Khetriya Seva Pramukh of RSS who shifted to BJP in October 2006, replaces Solanki, who had become a target of opposition onslaught with allegations of favouritism and interference in works of the BJP government, sources said.
Arvind Menon was made the Joint Organisational General Secretary, while Ajay Pratap Singh, Anchal Sonkar, Arvind Bhaduria, Babu Singh Raghuvanshi, Rajendra Pandey and Rameshwar Sharma were nominated as Secretaries.
