Referring to reported violation of the border by China in Arunachal Pradesh, Modi said "While we are for friendship with neighbouring China, we will not tolerate incursions in Arunachal and other bordering states."

The Centre should bring out a white paper on the recent spurt in Chinese incursions in the country, Modi, who is also the Deputy Chief Minister of the NDA government in Bihar, said while addressing an election rally in Itanagar.

Alleging that the Congress government in Centre failed to check price rise, he said "whenever Congress came to power there was escalation in prices of rice, pulses and other essential items."

The BJP leader termed the NCP and Trinamool Congress in Arunachal Pradesh as shadows of Congress, and argued that BJP is the 'real' non-Congress party.

"BJP is the real non-Congress party fighting for uprooting Congress," he said.

Accusing the ruling Congress of promoting corruption and mismanaging the Central funds in the state, he said that despite Arunachal Pradesh having huge natural resources, people in the state have remained poor.
