"There is a dire need to create polling booth facility for people of Ladakh in Jammu," BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma said.

Supporting the demand raised by Ladakhis living in Jammu that they should be given an opportunity to exercise their democratic right, Sharma said, "Election Commission should address their demand."

Several voters from Ladakh are residing in Jammu and would find it difficult to cast their vote at their respective polling booths in various areas of Ladakh, he said.

"The difficult topography of Ladakh region do not permit frequent travel by common Ladakhis who reside in other areas of the state," the state BJP chief said.
