Stating that factional feuds and internal bickerings in the Congress unit in Kerala were a 'closed chapter' now, the former AICC General Secretary said he was 'dead sure' that the partymen would unitedly work to improve the Congress tally in the state.

Commenting on who should form the government at the Centre, he said the BJP-led NDA government should be ousted from power in the overall interest of the nation and to fight growing communal elements that have shattered India's secular credentials.

"The Congress must be helped to lead a secular government at the Centre to ward of the communal threat while the lack of direction by the AB Vajpayee led government had let India down in many ways," Poojari told a press conference here.
