Charging Justice (retd) Amir Das with "dancing" to the tune of previous RJD government and making "false" accusations against the ruling party leaders in the state, particularly after the NDA government decision to scrap the Commission, the BJP alleged that he was committing "gross irregularities" by going public on the basis of "half prepared reports", a party release said.

The release signed by state BJP spokesperson Kiran Ghai, MLC, said the government in view of "wasteful" expenditure of crore of rupees by regularly extending the Commission's term decided to scrap it.

She said the Commission was set up by the previous RJD government with political motives and it was to submit its report in six months. In the past one decade, the terms of the Commission was extended over half-a-dozen times, but still the Commission did not complete its work. This prompted the present NDA not to extend its term any more, she added.
