In a joint statement here on Sunday, former education minister ID Dhiman, district BJP chief Vijay Agnihotri and chairman of the district BJP media co-ordination committee Ajay Sharma reminded the chief minister and other Congress leaders that Hamirpur had achieved tremendous development under the leadership of Prem Kumar Dhumal during his two stints as the chief minister of the state.

They said there were at least 50 such projects from the HPSSSB office to Hotel Hamir and opening of IRB battalion at Jangelberi, which were the creation of the BJP.

The Congress had always created hurdles in the development of the district and that was still visible. During the past eight months of the Congress rule, the development had come to a complete standstill and projects like modern bus stand at Hamirpur and bypass for Hamirpur town had slowed down. This showed how the Congress party was behaving with Hamirpur district.

The BJP leaders said the chief minister and his friends were so afraid of the popularity of Dhumal and his parliamentary son Anurag Thakur that he had started involving them in various criminal cases.
