BJP launches election campaign in Kashmir

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday launched the 'ek note, kamal par vote' campaign from Baramulla in Kashmir to get support for the upcoming parliament elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday launched the 'ek note, kamal par vote' campaign from Baramulla in Kashmir to get support for the upcoming parliament elections.

Targeting 272 plus seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, BJP has planned to go door-to-door under this campaign.

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state president Ravinder Raina along with the north Kashmir BJP president Desh Kumar Nehru, state secretary Haleema Begum, senior leader MM War, Ali Mohammad Mir and the party activists from the fifteen assembly constituencies falling in North Kashmir, launched the campaign.

Addressing the party workers Raina said that the party workers should connect with the common man in the Valley, in order to make them aware about the policies of the BJP and the contribution of former prime minister and BJP's stalwart leader Atal Behari Vajpayee.

Raina added that the people of the country were looking for 'a change' and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) had emerged as 'the only viable alternative', and urged the party workers to reach out to everyone, so that to strengthen the bond between common man and the party in Kashmir.

Prominent members present in the function included Manzoor Ahmed Baba,Nazir Ahmed Thekri, Arif Beg, AR.Zargar, Ashiq Hussain Dar, Arif Raja, Hamid Bhat and Mudassar Wani.
