Four persons, including two sons of the Madhya Pradesh Food and Civil Supplies Corporation’s vice president, were on Friday arrested for allegedly abducting a labourer and killing his son, police said
Of the four accused, Rakesh Singh and Abhay Singh are the sons of MPFCSC vice chairman and senior BJP leader Devraj Singh Parihar. The other accused are Jandal Singh Chauhan and Praveen Singh Tomar, said Khargone superintendent of police Amit Singh.
Parihar, by virtue of being the MPFCSC vice chairman, enjoys the status of a junior state minister.
The accused visited Mohana village in Khargone district last night and had an altercation with Jagdish Mankar, a labourer, the SP said.
Jagdish and his 18-year-old son Atul worked at Parihars’ farm in Indore. Parihar had allegedly given Jagdish and Atul an advance of Rs 1.50 lakh towards the farm work, but later the two didn’t turn up for work for some reason, leading to a dispute.
During the altercation, when Atul came to his father’s rescue, the accused slammed him down, causing grievous injury to the chest, which resulted in his death.

Police rescued Jagdish from Khendel village on Friday and arrested the four accused, the SP said, adding further investigation is on.
