BJP leading in early trends in HP polls

In trends available for 37 seats in Himachal Pradesh, the BJP is leading in 22 seats while Congress is ahead in 14.

Opposition BJP was leading over the Congress in early trends available for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections on Friday.

In the trends available for 37 seats, the BJP was leading in 22 seats, Congress was ahead in 14 seats and others in one.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh established an early lead of 2,178 votes over his BJP rival Khusiram Balnatah in Rohru assembly constituency in Shimla district.

BJP's Chief Ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal was also ahead over his Congress rival B C Lagwal in Bamson seat in Hamirpur district.
