The district unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to reach every family in the district to seek 'one note, five votes' for its ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, on Saturday held a meeting at its headquarters here for its workers to finalise the formalities for the collection of 'Modi for PM Fund'.
The meeting was organised by party district president Rajesh Gupta to chalk out the method of booth-level collection for the district, and presided over by national executive member and programme in-charge Shamsher Singh Manhas. Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria and state secretary and Jammu district prabhari Rajni Sethi also attended the meeting.
Addressing office-bearers, Ashok Khajuria said the conditions were favourable for the BJP's return to power in Delhi, and the party workers only had to put in efforts dedicatedly.
"The Congress has, because of its mis-governance and large number of scams, exposed itself as being unworthy of governing the country. People are fed up with the corruption and nepotism of the Congress. You should not be lax and must redouble your efforts to go to the public and achieve the goal of Modi for PM," he alleged.
Shamsher Singh Manhas dwelled upon the importance of establishing personal contact with every family in the mohallas. "This scheme of 'one note, five votes' is the fulcrum of this. People want change and it requires that our workers go to them and seek votes for Narendra Modi. The BJP is the party of the masses and house-to-house collection is meant to renew bonds with the people and finance the political activities of the party.

{{/usCountry}}Rajni Sehi said the BJP in Jammu district had a long glorious history of having truly represented the aspirations and feelings of the people. "Jammu has always been the bastion of BJP and the workers must continue this tradition of public interaction at personal level," she added.
