BJP releases 36-member UP executive committee list

Amit Singh and Ashutosh Tandon, sons of former BJP chief Rajnath Singh and sitting MP Lalji Tandon, were today appointed office bearers of the 36-member new Uttar Pradesh executive committee of BJP.

Amit Singh and Ashutosh Tandon, sons of former BJP chief Rajnath Singh and sitting MP Lalji Tandon, were on Wednesday appointed office bearers of the 36-member new Uttar Pradesh executive committee of BJP.

The list was announced by state BJP unit President Surya Pratap Shahi nearly three months after he took over the post.

"As per the list released by the state president, the committee consists of 10 vice-president, six general secretaries, one general secretary (organisation), one assistant general secretary and 18 secretaries," a party spokesman said.

Son of former BJP national president Rajnath Singh, Amit Singh has found place in the Shahi's team as Secretary.

Similarly, sons of MP Lalji Tandon and late Brahma Dutt Dwiwedi, Ashutosh Tandon and Major Sunil Dwiwedi, have also been inducted as Secretaries.

The new committee has 108 executive members, 104 special invitees and 43 permanent invitees.

Besides, the party has nominated heads of its frontal organisations as well.
