BJP to felicitate Modi on his first visit to Gujarat as PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be felicitated during his first visit as PM to his home state Gujarat. The state BJP unit will organise a felicitation function for Modi and Amit Shah, who has taken over as the BJP president after the parliamentary polls.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be felicitated during his first visit as PM to his home state Gujarat. The state BJP unit will organise a felicitation function for Modi and Amit Shah, who has taken over as the BJP president after the parliamentary polls.

“After becoming PM, Modi is coming to Gujarat for the first time so the party workers are keen to felicitate him and Amitbhai, who is also coming to the state,” a BJP leader said, adding both leaders ensured the party’s grand victory as the national polls.

Modi is coming to the state to receive Chinese president Xi Jinping who will be visiting Gujarat with a business delegation on September 17th.

The felicitation function will be held on September 16 wherein the state party leaders, chief minister Anandiben Patel and his cabinet members, party office bearers, MPs and MLAs, municipal councillors from Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara and presidents of district panchayats will remain present in the state capital.

Narendra Modi will launch several welfare and public service initiatives of the Gujarat government in September 17th at a special function to be held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
