Activists of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Monday intensified their protest against the Congress over re-induction of Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo in the Omar Abdullah government.
Activists also burnt the effigy of the Congress and photograph of Kitchloo.
The BJYM Jammu (west) district president Ajay Vaid, while accusing the Congress of adopting double standards and compromising on principles and public welfare with the National Conference (NC) for the sake of power, said that the manner in which NC leader was given complete clean chit by one man inquiry commission and hasty decision to reinstate Kitchloo as a minister in the coalition government, had invited widespread resentment and anger from people of all sections of the society.
The role of Congress in particular in being supportive of reinstating of Kitchloo has raised doubts and on the other hand fingers are being raised on it for not uttering a single word of sympathy for the Kishtwar riots affected families.
Vaid said that the Congress had become a puppet in the hands of the valley-centric NC and it did not have courage to oppose any act or decision of NC which was morally wrong and against the interests of the minorities and the general public.

{{/usCountry}}He said that it had been in the history of the Congress to surrender for the power and the recent incident of its complete silence on interim report and full support for Kitchloo's reinstatement in the cabinet should leave no one in any doubt that the Congress was hand-in-glove with the NC in its every anti-people decision, which was indeed very unfortunate. He said that the BJYM activists would further intensify their protests to expose Congress for its double standards.
