‘Shop till you drop’ is the mantra at the Blind School exhibition where you can buy stationary made of recycled paper to house-wares, and fluorescent candles, diyas and earthen lamps. Available in different colours, varieties and shapes, most are reasonably priced.
You can buy a pack of ten candles for about Rs 40. However, the prices vary depending on the designs and exquisite materials used in the candles.
For jewellery freaks, the place offers sufficient options — semi-precious stones, gold-plated jewellery, oxidised jewellery and silver — to splurge on accessories. At Deepika Sunder’s stall, earnings start from Rs 100 onwards and go up to Rs 3,000 depending on the weight and design. At some of the stalls you may chance upon heavy costume jewellery to sport for the coming wedding season.
