THE BHOPAL Municipal Corporation (BMC) would soon get 60-acre land at Fatehpur Dobra for developing a trenching ground. The dumping yard at Bhanpur is already full. According to official information, the district administration has decided to provide 60-acre land under Khasra number 167 to the Bhopal Municipal Corporation.
As per law, the district administration has invited objections till January 18 before allotting land. Thereafter, the land would be legally handed over to the BMC administration. The BMC has been making efforts since long to get land for a trenching ground at an alternative place.
After the BMC starts using the new place, the Bhanpur trenching ground would be shut down and used for another purpose. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation is also seeking land for a dumping yard at other places.
