BMS regional conference begins in Aurangabad on Jan 18

The two-day regional conference of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, commencing from January 18 will discuss global recession, retrenchment, wage deduction, lay off, block closure and other issues related to worker problems.

The two-day regional conference of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), commencing from January 18 will discuss global recession, retrenchment, wage deduction, lay off, block closure and other issues related to worker problems.

The conference will be inaugurated by renowned social worker Anna Hazare in Saint Eknath Rangmandir, BMS regional President Pramod Kulkarni told reporters in Aurangabad.

More than 2000 representatives from the post, telephone, auto and ST drivers, insurance department, industrial workers, hospital workers, energy sector are expected to attend the conference, he said.

Keshubhai Thakkar, Chandrakant Dhumal, Ajit Kulkarni, Geetatai Gokhale will also attend the conference, he said.

He further said that they are the farmers and workers who are suffering a lot due to the global meltdown and many of them have committed suicide.
