The contractor’s men were reportedly chased away by the land grabbers’ henchmen. When Tehsildar Ram Milan Singh went to lodge the complaint against the land grabber, he was allegedly abused by the inspector. Instead of protecting the government land, the inspector favoured the land grabber and asked the tehsildar to leave.

Municipal Commissioner Ram Bodh Maurya said,“If the police are going to aid the land sharks then how would we protect our land. This land is marked for a development of park. We have already spent Rs 6 lakhs on construction of its boundary. If the walls are demolished then who is going to compensate the loss.” He said he would discuss the matter personally with the SSP city and ask how the policemen were aiding the land sharks. “I will do whatever is possible to get the land back and demand a probe into the role of policemen,” said Maurya furiously.

Meanwhile, no FIR has been lodged against the land shark and the cop.
