But the actor did not lob off her locks. “We have great make-up artists and we used prosthetics,” says Shilpa.
The result was striking: it seemed she actually had her head shaved. “I was stunned by the result,” the actress says. “I can say this is one of the highlights of the film. Much of the film will be over by the time I appear bald, so it will take viewers by surprise.” She had no qualms about doing this as “the role demanded it”.

, Kangana was looking to prove her acting chops in the South. She was unavailable for comment but the actress reportedly will be bald and beautiful for a Tamil film, that too, for a fee of Rs 1 crore.
Actress Antara Mali, whose last notable film was
Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon
some years ago, is set to make a return with a bald head for Amol Palekar’s new untitled venture. Unlike Shilpa, who has used make-up for the look, Antara will actually shave her head. “I’m totally charged up about it,” says Antara adding, “I didn’t think twice before giving my nod to the film.”
