Bomb found near IPL final venue

A bomb was found in a theatre near the stadium in the satellite town of Navi Mumbai that is set to host the Indian Premier League (IPL) final on Sunday.

A bomb was found on Saturday night in a theatre near the stadium in the satellite town of Navi Mumbai that is set to host the Indian Premier League (IPL) final on Sunday.

Navi Mumbai police commissioner Ramrao Wagh told IANS, "A low intensity bomb was defused in the Vishnudas Bhave Theatre during the interval of a play."

The theatre was evacuated at around 9 pm and a bomb detection squad defused the bomb.
