Bomb hoax delays TVM-Gorakhpur Express

An anonymous telephone call that a bomb had been planted in the Thiruvananthapuram-Gorakhpur Express, turned out to be hoax, railway sources said this morning.

An anonymous telephone call that a bomb had been planted in the Thiruvananthapuram-Gorakhpur Express on Wednesday morning, turned out to be hoax, railway sources said.

The train was detained at the Irinjalakuda railway station and a thorough check was carried out.

No explosive or suspicious objects were found,the sources said.

The call was received at the Information Centre of the Thrissur railway station shortly before it was to arrive at 1120 hrs.It left for its onward journey after an hour long delay.
