Two nitro-benzene and ammonium-nitrate bombs, iron nails and notes on manufacturing of bombs were recovered in separate raids from the militants, who were closely associated with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)-based "supreme commander" of the group Syed Sallahuddin, police said.

Based on specific intelligence inputs, security personnel conducted raids and three ultras -- a self-styled "commander" of the group for Srinagar city Arif Shafi Gilkar alias Fahad and his two associates Bashir Ahmad Baba and Yasir Khan -- were arrested. A bomb kept in a cold-drink tin was recovered from interior city.

Baba and Khan had allegedly returned from Pakistan on August 11 after a gap of eight years, the spokesman added.

Later, police apprehended another militant Ishfaq Ahmad Wani near Reshi Sahid in Habbakadal locality in Srinagar. Two bombs made of Nitro-Benzene and Ammonium Nitrate were recovered from a cold-drink tin from his house in Habbakadal.

Huge quantity of nitro-benzene, hydrochloric acid, fire cracker explosive, glass wire, laboratory test tubes, tube stand and nine volt batteries were also among the seizure.
