Police have begun search operation at Surat Airport after an anonymous caller warned the authorities of a bomb at the parking area.

An unidentified caller called up the airport authorities this morning to warn them about a bomb placed in the parking area, police said.

The airport authorities in turn informed the police who reached the spot with a bomb squad and sinffer dogs.

The call was traced back to a public booth in Bhattar area of the city, police said adding that search operation at the airpot is on.
