The super over came into play after the teams finished level with 154 runs each.

BPCL’s Manish Pandey's 17-run knock (2x4s, 1x6) off five balls floored the opposition as they successfully chased the target of 15 runs set for them. The winners pocketed R7 lakh, while Indian Oil had to settle for R3.5 lakh.

Earlier, BPCL’s 154-run total was built on sizeable knocks from Bhavin Thakkar (32 runs, 3x4s,1x6s), Uday Kaul (33, 5x4s), who shared a 57-run partnership for the second wicket, and later from skipper Abhishek Nayar (27, 3x4s,1x6s) and Vinit Indulkar (38, 1x4s,1x6s) added. Indian Oil’s Anand Rajan (2/33) and Amit Dani (2/28) were the most successful bowlers.

Indian Oil too started their chase on a brisk note as openers Ajinkya Rahane (20, 1x4s, 2x6s) and Paresh Patel (16, 1x4s,1x6s) put on a 29-run.
